Sun–Moon aspects

Aspects are the angles between planets in your birth chart. They show how two parts of you work together. Here is what each kind of Sun–Moon aspect means.

Sun conjunct Moon

A conjunction fuses two energies into one. They act together, for better and for worse, and form a strong theme in your personality.

Born near a New Moon, your will and your feelings point in the same direction. You are focused and self-contained, with a strong sense of what you want — though you may need others to show you different perspectives.

Sun trine or sextile Moon

A trine is a natural flow between two energies. It describes gifts that come easily — so easily that you may take them for granted. A sextile is an easy, friendly link. It offers opportunities that grow when you make a small effort to use them.

Your conscious goals and emotional needs work together. You tend to feel at peace with yourself, and this inner harmony makes relationships and decisions flow more easily.

Sun square or opposite Moon

A square creates tension between two parts of you. It can feel like friction, but it is also a powerful engine for growth and achievement. An opposition pulls two energies in opposite directions. The work is to find balance, often through relationships that mirror both sides back to you.
