Aries: personality, traits and compatibility

Aries season runs from March 21 – April 19. People born under this sign are bold, direct and driven to begin. Aries is a cardinal fire sign.

The Aries Sun

With the Sun in Aries, you come alive when there is something to start, win or prove. You are wired for action: you see a goal and move toward it before others have finished weighing the options. Your courage is real, and so is your honesty — you say what you think and expect the same from others.

Your challenge is patience. Not every situation rewards speed, and the people around you may need time to catch up. When you learn to pause long enough to choose your battles, your natural leadership becomes something others gladly follow. You shine brightest when you are a pioneer — the first to try, the first to speak up, the first to believe something is possible.

Fire and cardinal energy

Fire brings enthusiasm, courage and spontaneity. With a strong Fire emphasis you tend to act on inspiration, lead with your heart and bring energy into any room.

Cardinal signs start things. With a Cardinal emphasis you are an initiator: you like to set direction and get things moving.
